This year’s program has been redesigned to include new fun, play-based movement, games, crafts, and other “Chill Skills” you can use to help yourself create more happiness in your life. It starts with learning how to relax, refocus, and be happier through the use of our breath! Through the practice of mindfulness and yoga, you can learn how your thoughts and actions affect your brain. Activity-based mindfulness is a great way for kids to develop focusing skills while learning to regulate their emotions and respond to any situation calmly, with kindness and compassion. This week is rooted in brain science and is designed to highlight happiness and increase children’s capacity for attention, empathy, impulse control, emotional regulation, and resiliency.
