On Wednesday June 7th Insight Minds and metamorFIT are partnering to bring families a FREE mindfulness class for kids ages 6-10.
These fun, activity based classes are filled with mindful movements, games, and other “chill skills.” Movement based mindfulness is a great way for children to develop focusing skills while learning to regulate their emotions and respond to any situation calmly, with kindness and compassion. These simple, fun mindfulness practices can be used in children’s routines at home, school, or after school. We will learn how to relax, refocus, and be happier through the use of our breath! Through the practice of mindfulness we will learn how our thoughts and actions affect our brain. This introduction to mindfulness is rooted in brain science and is designed to increase children’s capacity for attention, empathy, impulse control, emotional regulation, and resiliency.
