On Monday June 12th Insight Minds and metamorFIT are partnering to bring families a FREE mindfulness class for Tweens and Teens ages 11-18.
The Tweens & Teens program is designed to help navigate and manage stress, anxiety, and other strong emotions. We will learn and practice useful tools that will us to respond to the challenges of teen life. We will learn how to prepare ourselves for a stressful exam, issues with friends, or how to be happier. A regular mindfulness practice has shown to help increase creativity, resiliency, and manage strong emotions. It has also shown to increase scores on exams, improve sleep, and help become less emotionally reactive.
Your child will learn a variety of meditation practices such as breath awareness, body scan, and mindful walking. We will also practice informal mindfulness practices to use in daily life. These practices will help your child become more aware of their emotions to live a more flourishing life.
